Born and raised in the rural mid-west, Zach Thomas has country running through his veins. Keith Whitley, George Straight and Merle Haggard were early inspirations for this upcoming musician and even motivated him to audition for FOX’s American Idol Season 14 with Whitley's, “Don’t Close Your Eyes." Thomas’s performance landed him a season title of “Top 38 Most Memorable Performances” and also caught the eye of judge/superstar country singer Keith Urban. Urban invited Thomas to play with him at the Denny Sanford Premier Center in Sioux Falls, SD in front of 12,000 energetic fans to which Thomas could not pass up.
